The veg club sandwich recipe with step by step photos and a video recipe. The veg club sandwich is a 3 layered sandwich of bread, cooked paneer/cottage cheese slice, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and veg mayonnaise. It is then cut into quarters or halves and held together by wooden skewers or cocktail sticks.
This veg club sandwich is a complete meal in itself. The word Club stands for “chicken and lettuce under bacon.” But in this vegetarian version, we are using paneer slice instead of chicken. You can increase or decrease the ingredients & spices as per your choice. Every restaurant has their own version of making the club sandwich.
In this veg club sandwich recipe, I have used sandwich chutney and chaat masala powder to give it an Indian touch. You can replace sandwich chutney with mayonnaise. Also, you can skip chaat masala powder.
Veg club sandwich tastes best when served immediately. As the outer layer is crisp and you can enjoy different flavors in all the layers of the sandwich.
If you are planning to make it for any party, then you can do some preparations beforehand like making the cabbage salad, sandwich chutney and Mayo spread, slicing the cucumber and tomatoes, and keep it in the refrigerator.
Toasting and assembling the sandwich do not take much time. Better to do them later. As this sandwich may turn soggy if made earlier. Making this veg club sandwich becomes easier if you have everything ready. If you are looking for a quick sandwich recipe then you should try this potato sandwich.
