Mangoes are in season & it’s my favorite fruit. I have already posted a Homemade Mango Jam recipe & Mango Milkshake with Ice cream on the website.

This time Mango salsa was on my to-do list. The recipe is similar to my Fresh corn salsa recipe. This is one of the best Mexican salsa recipes with Fresh Mangoes. Everyone in our family loved it.

    Expert tips

    • Choose the mangoes that are ripe & firm. Overripe mangoes may turn out to be soggy soon while making the salsa.
    • Do not use fibrous mangoes for making salsa.
    • Always taste the mangoes before adding any ingredient to it. If it tastes slightly sour then skip adding lime juice to it. Or add lime juice as per taste.
    • You can skip adding jalapenos to cut down the spiciness.

    FAQs

What do you eat mango salsa with?

    1) Pair it up with any Mexican dish.
    2) Serve it with tortilla chips as a dip. Or use it as a topping for Nachos.
    3) Serve it with any Taco recipe.
    4) It goes well on the top of burrito bowls.
    5) Put it on the top of a Mexican salad.
    6) Use it as a garnish on grilled chicken or grilled fish.
    7) Use it for Burrito Bowl.

How long does salsa last in the fridge?

To store any leftovers, transfer them to an airtight container & refrigerate. It stays good in the fridge for up to 2 days.
I recommend having it fresh because with time they tend to lose its freshness & texture.

Can mango salsa be made ahead of time?

Yes, you can make it ahead of time. Chop all the ingredients and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Stays good for 2 days. When ready to consume season it with salt, pepper, cumin, and lime juice and serve.

    Variations that you can try

You can make variations by adding:

    • Avocados
    • Pineapple
    • Tomatoes
    • Corn

    Storage suggestions

    • Store it in an airtight container & refrigerate. It stays good for 2 days. But I suggest to consume it fresh because with time they tend to lose their freshness & texture.
