Ingredients
2CupsFrozen Watermelon
½cupFrozen Strawberries
6-7nos. Almonds
¼teaspoonGinger
¼teaspoonMint Leaves Chopped
¼teaspoonBasil Leaves ChoppedOptional
1tablespoonGround Flax Seedsroast the flax seeds, cool it and grind it
1teaspoonLemon juice
2tablespoonHoney
1CupCoconut Waterif not available use plain water instead.
½cupIce Cubes

Preparations for making the smoothie
For making the smoothie in the breakfast, you can do these preparations previous night. I used frozen fruits for the recipe. For this cut the Watermelon into cubes and remove seeds. Put it in Zip Lock bags. Place the Zip Lock bags in the freezer. Once frozen its ready to use. Frozen fruits are good for making Smoothie. They help to make Smoothies thick and frosty.
Wash the Strawberries and remove the stem. Put the Strawberries in Zip Lock bags and freeze it.
Soak Almonds in water at night or for minimum 30 minutes before making the smoothie and peel the skin off. This helps the almonds to grind better and gives the smoothie a creamy texture.
To make watermelon strawberry smoothie
Put all the ingredients mentioned in the ingredients list above in a Blender Jar and blend until smooth.
To Garnish sprinkle some ground flax seeds on it and some almond flakes.
Serve immediately! Taste best when served chilled :)

Notes
1. You can use fresh Watermelon & Strawberries too. But the smoothie will be thin in consistency. 2. You can replace Coconut water with normal water. But I will recommend using Coconut water for this recipe. 3. It is recommended to lightly roast and grind the flax seeds before using in the recipe. 4. If you didn't like the taste of basil and ginger you can avoid them in the recipe. 5. Do not increase the quantity of ginger or basil leaves. 6. Soaking almonds help them to grind to a smooth paste.
